Pomacea canaliculata Lamarck, 1822 View in CoL a. New type material — neotype ( Hayes et al. 2012: 741): USNM 1185844. Type locality —“Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina ”.

Additional remarks. The shell listed by Cowie & Thiengo (2003: 58) as possibly the holotype is now considered not to be type material, and the holotype is considered lost ( Hayes et al. 2012: 741–743). The type locality is the locality of the neotype.
