Helix ampullacea Linnaeus, 1758: 771 View Cited Treatment . Type material — syntype: LSL 546 (1 spm.). Type locality —“Asia”. Distribution — Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo ( Reeve 1856b: pl. 10; G.B. Sowerby III 1910: 56; Habe 1964: 50 [as “ ampullaria ”]; Brandt 1974: 50; Keawjam 1986: 61), Philippines ( Pagulayan & Remigio 1993: 1), Singapore (Ng et al. 2014: 34).
Remarks. For further discussion of the syntype see linnaei Philippi. Valid species of Pila , teste Habe (1964: 49; as “ ampullaria ”), Brandt (1974: 49), Keawjam (1986: 61, 1987: 69, 1990: 1), Berthold (1991: 10, etc.), Pagulayan & Remigio (1993: 1) and Low et al. (2013: 55), among many others.
