Type material. Holotype male, CHINA, Yunnan, Gongshan County, Cikai Township, Shuanglawa, 27.77056°N, 98.65447°E to 27.76816°N, 98.64352°E, 1500–1540 m, 25 September 2002, D.H. Kavanaugh, P. Marek, and D.Z. Dong leg. (HNU-PEM02015). Paratypes: 1 ɗ and 1 Ψ, same data as holotype (HNU-PEM02015); 1 Ψ, Gongshan County, Dadang Park, 27.44348°N, 98.39525°E, 1496 m, 24 September 2002, C.M. Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of Prof. Heng Li (KIB), one of the leaders of the joint biodiversity survey to the Gaoligong Mountains from 1998–2006.
Diagnosis. Male tarsi of leg III and IV with scopulae on ventral side; male RTA long and large, combined with VTA basally, DTA small cone-shaped, tegulum with a ATA; female epigyne swollen at the median area, orifices small, and the posterior margin of female epigyne with a depression at each side, spermathecae convoluted.
Description. Male (holotype, PEM02015). Total length 3.10. Prosoma 1.54 long, 1.50 wide; opisthosoma 1.65 long, 1.35 wide. Prosoma somewhat convex with sparse long hairs. Carapace slightly blackish brown with black margin ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). The head area wide. Tubercles of ALE and PLE large and contiguous. Fovea, cervicle and radial grooves indistinct. A shallow dent on the mesal between the PME and the fovea. ALE 0.15, PLE 0.11, AME 0.05, PME 0.03 in diameter; AME–AME 0.16, AME–ALE 0.18, PME–PME 0.16, PME–PLE 0.32; MOA long 0.17 with front width 0.25 and back width 0.22. Clypeus yellowish brown, height 0.15. Chelicerae brown, without teeth, with long hairs on both margins of fang furrow ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 6 – 13 ). Gnathocoxa brown, length/width = 3/1; labium grayish black, length/width = 2/1. Sternum yellow, cordiform, margin with dense short hairs. Legs I, II blackish brown, legs III, IV yellow.
Leg measurements:
Legs with weak spines; tibia and metatarsus with stout spines on the prolateral, retrolateral and ventral sides. Spination of legs: femora: I prolateral 1-1, dorsal 1-1-1-1, II dorsal 0-1-0-1, III–IV dorsal 1-1-0-0; patellae: I–IV 0–1; tibiae: I prolateral 1-1-1, retrolateral 0-1-1, ventral 0-2-2, II prolateral 1-1-1, ventral 0-2-2, retrolateral 0-0-1, III–IV pro- and retrolateral 0-1, ventral 0-2, dorsal 1-1; metatarsi: I–II pro- and retrolateral 0-0-1, ventral 2-2-0, III–IV pro- and retrolateral 1-0, ventral 2-0. Tarsi of leg III, IV with scopulae on ventral side ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 6 – 13 ). Superior claw of tarsi with 12 teeth, inferior claws with 6 teeth. Opisthosoma flat, slight yellow with blackish brown patterning on dorsum ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Dorsum covered with short black hairs, anteriorly with black, longitudinal markings; muscular depressions and cardiac stripe yellow and distinct; several small white spots beside the posterior muscular depressions; posterior area with three black chevron markings, end of opisthosoma slightly yellow, lateroventral opisthosoma with diagonal black stripes. Venter gray, with many short hairs, a small slight black marking on the center.
Male palp ( Figs 3–8 View FIGURES 1 – 5 View FIGURES 6 – 13 ): Male RTA long and large, combined with small VTA basally, DTA small cone-shaped, tegulum with ATA ( Figs 6–7 View FIGURES 6 – 13 : ATA), embolus slender, filiform.
Female (one paratype). Body length 3.80. Prosoma 1.60 long, 1.50 wide; opisthosoma 1.80 long, 1.65 wide. Body color lighter than that of male. Carapace tent-shaped ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). ALE 0.13, PLE 0.08, AME 0.05, PME 0.03 in diameter; AME–AME 0.20, AME–ALE 0.20, PME–PME 0.22, PME–PLE 0.42, MOA long 0.16 with front width 0.30 and back Spination of legs: femora I prolateral 1-1-1-1, dorsal 0-1-1-1, II–III dorsal 0-1-1-0, IV dorsal 0-0-1-0; patellae 1-1; tibiae I–IV dorsal 1-1, ventral 2-2; metatarsi I–IV pro- and retrolateral 0-1, I–II ventral 2-2, III–IV ventral 2-0. Opisthosoma slight yellow, markings grayish black, marking shape same as those of male ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). The venter with a grayish black spots on the center.
Epigyne: median area swollen; orifices small; posterior margin with a depression at each side, copulatory ducts twist; spermathecae convoluted.
Variation. Body length: male 2.70–3.10 (n = 5), female 3.20–3.80 (n = 4). Carapace slightly brown to slightly blackish brown. The spots on posterior dorsum varied from white to yellow.
