Types. Holotype male from Brazil, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Bonito (21°07’15”S; 56°28’55”W), 14– 23.X.2002, Equipe Biota col., deposited in MCN 48954. Paratype female and male, same data as the holotype, deposited in MCN 48953.
Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, taken from the type locality.
Diagnosis. The male of Dipoena bonitensis new species resembles that of D. kuyuwini Levi, 1963 (see Levi, 1963: 156, fig. 108) in the projection in tegulum ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ), but differs in the larger projection of D. bonitensis ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ). The female of Dipoena bonitensis is close to D. kuyuwini (see Levi, 1963: 156, figs. 106, 107) in the presence of posterior sclerotized plate developed ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ), but differs from it in the wider copulatory opening ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ).
Description. Male (Holotype, MCN 48954): Total length 2.03. Carapace length 0.94, width 0.79. Clypeus height 0.63. Sternum length 0.44, width 0.48. Abdomen length 1.05, width 0.90, height 1.02. Leg formula IV/I/II/ III; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 0.88/0.77/0.73/0.92; patellae + tibiae 0.94/0.79/0.73/0.98; metatarsi + tarsi 0.98/0.88/0.90/1.11; total 2.80/2.44/2.36/3.01. Eye diameter and interdistance: AME 0.10, ALE 0.07, PME 0.07 and PLE 0.07; AME–AME 0.06, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.04, PME–PLE 0.06. Eyes ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ) margined with black. Carapace high ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ), with grooves ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ), yellow-brown, longer than wide, setae present at ocular area. Chelicerae brown. Endites, sternum and labium yellowish, covered with dark brown dots. Legs yellowbrown, covered with dark brown rings, except tarsi yellow. Femur I swollen proximally. Abdomen longer than wide ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 19 – 22 ), dorsum dark brown with brown spots, mainly two anteriorly and one posteriorly; venter brown. Spinnerets yellow.
Female (Paratype, MCN 48953): Total length 2.14. Carapace length 0.84, width 0.75. Clypeus height 0.21. Sternum length 0.52, width 0.50. Abdomen length 1.32, width 1.13, height 1.17. Leg formula IV/I/III/II; segment length (I/II/III/IV): femora 1.02/0.84/0.79/1.02; patellae + tibiae 1.00/0.90/0.86/1.15; metatarsi + tarsi 1.09/0.92/ 1.02/1.23; total 3.11/2.66/2.67/3.40. Eye diameter and interdistance: AME 0.09, ALE 0.08, PME 0.08 and PLE 0.08; AME–AME 0.04, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.03, PME–PLE 0.04. Eyes margined with black. Carapace brown covered with median and lateral dark brown dots, longer than wide, setae present at ocular area. Chelicerae, endites, sternum and labium as in male. Legs as in male. Abdomen as in male, except two anteriorly spots absent. Spinnerets yellow.

Distribution. Brazil (Mato Grosso do Sul).
