Ectobius punctatissimus Ramme, 1922 View in CoL
Figure 60 View FIGURES 54 – 71
Ectobius punctatissimus View in CoL was recorded from Strandzha Mountain (Gramatikovo village, 5.VI–6.VI.1959, leg. R. Bańkowska) by Bazyluk (1961: 432). All subsequent publications mentioning this species from Bulgaria ( Princis 1963: 68; Princis 1965: 17, 26; Princis 1971: 1072; Harz & Kaltenbach 1976: 249; Hubenov et al. 1998: 341) rely on the latter record.
This species occurs in Italy and the western part of the Balkan Peninsula as south as Albania. No confirmed data for the occurrence of this species in Bulgaria exists. Though we were unable to study the material recorded by Bazyluk (1961), based on the remote range of the species and own unpublished data (Hristov, unp.) we consider the records for this species in Bulgaria erroneous.
