Bassocryptus Habermehl, 1919: 18 . Type: Microcryptus gravenhorsti Habermehl, 1910 (= Brachypimpla brachyura Strobl, 1902 View in CoL ). Monobasic.

A single species, Br. latipetiolator ( Uchida, 1935) View in CoL , have been recorded from Japan. This species is apparently similar to the genera of Acrolyta View in CoL genus group in a strong median carina of collar, while it can be distinguished by the lateral longitudinal carina of propodeum complete. In this study, I re-describe this species with some distribution records.
