Description. Body length: 4.4–4.6 mm; forebody length: 2.4–2.6 mm.
Body ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ) elongate, reddish brown, with basal antennal segment reddish yellow; the remaining antennal segments, maxillary palpi and legs (except for metacoxae) yellow.
Head suborbicular, slightly longer than broad (length/width = 1.02); postocular portion twice as long as eye length; on disc intervals between punctures flat, not raised like carinae. Antennae slender, extending to middle of pronotum; relative length of each segment from 1 to 11: 15.0: 5.5: 8.0: 6.0: 6.0: 6.0: 5.0: 5.0: 5.0: 5.0: 8.0; relative width of each segment from 1 to 11: 4.0: 3.5: 2.5: 2.5: 2.5: 2.5: 2.5: 2.5: 2.5: 3.0: 3.0.
Pronotum convex and oval, longer than wide (length/width = 1.15), narrower (pronotum/head = 0.87) and shorter (pronotum/head = 0.98) than head; prosternum with strong longitudinal median carina not reaching its anterior margin. Elytra slightly shorter than wide (length/width = 0.93), distinctly shorter (elytra/pronotum = 0.80) than and as wide as pronotum.
Abdomen with finely microsculpture on all the segments.
Male. Seventh sternite ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 43 – 47 ) slightly and widely concave in middle of posterior margin; 8th sternite ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 43 – 47 ) shallowly and triangularly excised in middle of posterior margin. Aedeagus ( Figs. 45–47 View FIGURES 43 – 47 ) distinctly sclerotized; median lobe in dorsal view gradually narrowed apicad, with triangular lateral prominence on each side at apical 1/3, in lateral view slightly curved dorsally near apex; dorso-lateral apophyses short and thick, slightly curved inward, with apices obtuse and extending only to the middle of median lobe.
Female. Seventh and 8th sternites simple.
Remarks. Nazeris tianmuensis can be distingushed from N. chinensis Koch, 1939 , described from Tianmushan, by the following characters: median lobe of the aedeagus with a triangular prominence on each side at apical 1/3 ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 43 – 47 ) (in N. chinensis without prominence); dorso-lateral apophyses much stouter than those of N. chinensis . in dorsal view ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 43 – 47 ).
Distribution. China (Zhejiang Prov.).
Etymology. The species name is derived from the name of the type locality: Mt. Tianmushan Nature Reserve.
