Length (including tergmen). Male, 2.9–3.3 mm; female, 3.2–3.7 mm (Kwon 1988).
Greenish yellow; vertex with 2 pairs of black spots; ocelli reddish, with short black longitudinal bands between eyes and ocelli.
Male abdomen. 2nd acrotergite with trunk V-shaped; neck short, 1/3 as long as trunk width. 2nd tergal apodeme slightly exceeding middle of tergite posteriorly. 1st sternal apodeme with posterior lobes about as long as wide. 2nd sternal apodeme with posterior lobes 1.5 times as long as basal width.
Male genitalia. Pygofer broad, with caudo-ventral tubercle. Aedeagal shaft with each apical appendage branched.
Material examined. CHINA: 2 males, 3 females, Shandong Prov., Yantai City, Mt. Kunyu, 11~ 12.vii.2001, Coll. Qin Daozheng & Liu Zhenjiang (trapped); 1 male, 1 female, Shaanxi Prov., Yangling County, vii.1986, Coll. Zhang Yalin; 2 males, 1 female, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, 183 Corps, 2.viii.2001, Coll. Huang Min (NWAFU).
Distribution. Europe west to central Russia (Tuva and Uzbekistan), south to Cyprus, Iraq, Kashmir (Kwon 1988) and China (Shandong, Shaanxi, Xinjiang).
