Type locality. EC, Port Elizabeth.

Distribution. Known from few sites, all in the south-eastern coastal-belt in Eastern Province. Described from Port Elizabeth (with no more data), and collected later in Frames' Drift, bank of the river, area of Port Elizabeth. Donkerbosch near Grahamstown, waterfall in native forest.

Remarks. Syntypes: ZMH V-5123; Ch. elizabethae typica BMNH 1938.7.1.983 (collected by Brauns, from Michaelsen’s material); Ch. elizabethae elongatus BMNH 1938.7.1.1005, 1938.7.1.1006–1008. Other material BMNH 1938.7.1.984–1004.
