Specimens examined: Pirassununga: C. pubescens , 03­V­2000 (1). Luiz Antonio: P. guajava , 26­VII­2000 (1).

Associated phytophagous mites: no phytophagous mites were found associated with this species.

Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Colombia; El Salvador; Guadeloupe; Honduras, Jamaica; Les Saintes; Puerto Rico and USA.

Remarks: The measurements of 2 adult females collected are similar to those given in the original description.
