Euseius sibelius, Muma et al., 1970: 98  ; Moraes & McMurtry, 1983: 140; Moraes et al., 1986: 54; 2000: 243; 2004: 83; Moraes & Mesa, 1988: 81; Feres & Moraes, 1998: 128. Euseius subalatus DeLeon, 1965: 127  , (synonymy according to Muma et al., 1970).

Specimens examined: Pirassununga: C. pubescens  , 03­V­ 2000 (1). Luiz Antonio: P. guajava  , 26 ­VII­ 2000 (1).

Associated phytophagous mites: no phytophagous mites were found associated with this species.

Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Colombia; El Salvador; Guadeloupe; Honduras, Jamaica; Les Saintes; Puerto Rico and USA.

Remarks: The measurements of 2 adult females collected are similar to those given in the original description. These measurements are: dorsal shield length 255–285, width 168–175, j 1 25, j 3 20–23, j 4 15–20, j 5 18–20, j 6 23–25, J 2 20–25, J 5 5–8, z 2 20–25 z 4 23– 28, z 5 18–23, Z 1 20–23, Z 4 23–28, Z 5 50–53, s 4 30 –33, S 2 20 –25, S 4 20 –25, S 5 20 –25, r 3 23, R 1 13–18, Sge IV 30, St IV 30–33, St 1 –St 3 55, St 2 –St 2 63, St 5 –St 5 63–65, length of ventrianal shield 88, width at ZV 2 level 45, width at anus level 50, length of calyx of spermatheca 18–25.
