Aspidepyris foveolatus Evans, 1964: 115 –116 (male description, figs 79–81), Gordh & Móczár, 1990: 69 (catalog).

Diagnosis. MALE. Length 4.1 mm. Body ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 5. 1 – 3 ). Color: head and mesosoma black, metasoma dark castaneous; mandible, antenna and legs castaneous to dark castaneous; forewing weakly infuscated. Mandible with three wide apical teeth, upper truncate, median rounded, lower sharpened. Clypeus with subangulate median lobe, median carina complete. Antenna thick, segment III as thick as long. Frons weakly coriaceous, punctures small. WH 1.03 × LH, WF 0.55 × WH, WF 1.06 × HE, OOL 1.1 × WOT, distance posterior ocellus from vertex crest 0.57 × DAO. Head wide behind eye. Vertex convex, corner rounded. VOL 0.44 × HE. Elevation of pronotal disc high posteriorly, with posterior margin convex and distinct from posterior margin of disc. Notaulus wide, distance between notauli 1.0 × their width. Parapsidal furrows straight, incomplete posteriorly and touching anterior margin of mesoscutum, about equally distant from lateral margin of mesoscutum as from notauli. Scutellar pits elliptical, touching lateral margin of scutellum. Propodeal disc with paramedian carina angled laterad posteriorly. Genitalia ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 5. 1 – 3 ): paramere with apex wide and truncate, cuspis apex aligned with aedeagus apex, digitus higher than cuspis, aedeagus only 0.53 × as long as complete genitalia, apex aligned with cuspis apex, not constricted medially. FEMALE unknown.

Material examined. Holotype 3: HONDURAS, Atlantida, La Ceiba, 18.X.1916, F.J. Dyer col. ( AMNH). Distribution. Honduras. This species is known from the type locality only.
