Diagnosis. Male. Body length 7.0 mm. Suberect setae on volsella ventrally long; paramere with three separated tufts of long spines ( Figs 31, 32 View FIGURES 26 – 37 ). Hypopygium wide, 1.2 × its width ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 26 – 37 ). Female. Body length 8.5 mm. Propodeum posteriorly with fine transverse striae. Fore wing with subapical milky white spot. Fore wing cu-a postfurcal 0.8 × its length. Metasoma completely black.

Material examined. USA. Michigan: 1 ♀, Missaukee Co., Mich., 11.VII.1959 (R. and K. Dreisbach) ; 1 ♂, Midland Co., Mich., 18–22.VII.1959 (R.R. Dreisbach) [OLL].

Distribution. USA (from Atlantic coast to 100° west in Transition and upper Austral zones, Colorado and Arizona) ( Krombein 1979).

Etymology. We regard the original specific name as Latinized adjective germanus , - a, um (cognate, consanguine) which should be agree in gender with the current generic name (ICZN 1999, article 31.2).

Remarks. The material from USA has been identified by Dreisbach R.R.
