There are three paratypes each with three labels. Label 1: White label one stating collection locality '( INDIA: Tamil Nadu); North Salem , Dankanikota ; 7.iii.1939; collected by Research Ranger'. Label 2: White label two—' Exema salemensis Bhasin , paratype' (hand written). Label 3: Green label stating ' Paratype'.
Remarks: The photographed paratype with right and left antennae having first antennomere only; second paratype with head detached and glued on the same card.
Comments: The species was described on the basis of five specimens—type deposited in the 'British Museum' ( NHM) and paratypes in 'FRI' ( NFIC).
