There is only one paratype in NFIC with four labels. Label 1: White label—stating collection locality 'BURMA ( Myanmar): Mergui; i. 1927; collected by RN Parker'. Label 2: small white label with number '370'. Label 3: White label—' Chaetocnema merguiensis Bryant , Paratype (hand written), det. GE Bryant'. Label 4: Green label stating ' Paratype'.

Remarks: Left antenna with few apical segments missing, left elytron glued to the body.

Comments: Species was described on the basis of two male specimens, one specimen labeled as paratype is in NFIC.
