Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Linnavuori 2007), Fars ( Zarei et al. 2012), Golestan (Heiss & Linnavuori 2002 ; Ghahari et al. 2011), Guilan ( Hosseini et al. 2002; Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan ( Ghahari et al. 2011), Khuzestan, Kordestan, Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad, Lorestan (Linnavuori 2010), Markazi ( Arkani et al. 2011), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2010), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013). General distribution and hosts. Species widely distributed in Europe, also known from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Turkey (Asian part); collected on numerous plants including Achillea sp. , Centaurea sp. , Heteropappus sp. ( Linnavuori 2007, 2010) and Mirabilis julapa , sometimes found in cotton field ( Ghahari et al. 2011).
