Ardabil ( Linnavuori 2007), Bushehr (Linnavuori 2010), Fars (Linnavuori 2010), Golestan (Heiss & Linnavuori 2002 ), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2010), Kordestan (Linnavuori 2010), Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad, Lorestan (Linnavuori 2010), Mazandaran ( Linnavuori 2007), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2010), Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2007), Southern Iran (no locality cited) ( Modarres Awal 1997c under the name Tuponia eckerleini orientalis Wagner, 1955 ), Iran (no locality cited) ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999; Konstantinov & Namyatova 2008).

General distribution and hosts. Ponto-Mediterranean species, extending to Central Asia; living on Tamarix sp. ( Linnavuori 2007, 2010).
