Distribution in Iran. Ardabil, Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan ( Mostaan 1993; Modarres Awal 1997c), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).
General distribution, hosts and prey. West Palaearctic species; living on deciduous trees such Crataegus sp. , Malus sp., Pyrus sp. and Sorbus sp. ( Linnavuori 2007). Predator notably of European red mite Panonychus ulmi (Koch, 1836) ( Mostaan 1993; Modarres Awal 1997c).
Comments. According to Stonedahl (1990) and Schwartz & Stonedahl (2004), “ A.” mali does not belong to the genus Atractotomus and should be reclassified in another genus, probably to describe still.
