Distribution in Iran. Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).
General distribution and hosts. Eremian subspecies known from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria and Tunisia; living on Haloxylon sp. ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999).
Comments. The subspecies Glaucopterum deserticola guntheri Carapezza, 2002 described from Palermo ( Italy).
