Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Heiss & Linnavuori 2002 ), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Iran (no locality cited) ( Konstantinov & Namyatova 2008; Aukema et al. 2013). General distribution. Holopalaearctic species, widely distributed in the Palaearctic region from Western Europe to the Russian Far East, including Caucasus, Central Asia, Iran and Israel, introduced in North America; living mainly on Asteraceae ( Matocq 2004a; Konstantinov & Namyatova 2008).
