Distribution in Iran. Hormzogan ( Kiritshenko 1966 under the combination Capsodes (Horistus) bimaculatus ), Kerman ( Kiritshenko 1966 under the combination Capsodes (Horistus) bimaculatus ; Wagner 1968a under the combination Capsodes bimaculatus Jakovlev ; Linnavuori 2009), Iran (no locality cited) ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999).
General distribution. Anatolian species, known from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran.
Horistus (Horistus) infuscatus (Brullé, 1832)
Listed from Hamadan by Samin et al. (2011), Sistan & Baluchestan by Hoberlandt (1954) as Capsodes infuscatus f. rufinennis ( Reuter, 1896) and West Azarbaijan by Sakenin et al. (2010) under the combination Capsodes infuscatus . According to Kerzhner & Josifov (1999: 105) old records from Cyprus, Iran, Israel and Syria could refer to H. bimaculatus or H. turcomanus . Records previous to Kerzhner & Josifov’s work should be treated with caution.
General distribution. East Mediterranean species, known from Caucasus.
