Type-species: Orbinia sertulata ( Savigny, 1822)
Diagnosis. Prostomium conical, pointed, peristomium with 1 achaetous ring. Branchiae from chaetiger 5–20. Posterior thoracic chaetigers with postchaetal papillae (2–many) and subpodial papillae (3–many), more than five papillae of both types. Thoracic neurochaetae including uncini or subuluncini, and crenulated capillaries; neuropodial modified spines absent; notopodial furcate present or absent.
