Tachypeza Meigen, 1830 View in CoL View at ENA
The species of the genus Tachypeza are very similar to the representatives of the genus Tachydromia but can be distinguished from them by the presence of vein CuA2. They are usually larger and have largely grey dusted thorax (comparing with Tachydromia ), long slender legs (except fore pair) and narrow wings lacking distinct pattern (at most brownish clouded along veins).
