Type material. Holotype: male, hindwritten label “ 2. VIII. 2005, [ China,] XIZANG ( Autonomous Region ), Linzhi (City), leg. Hao Huang ”/ printed label “ ZFMK Lep 153485” / printed label “ ZFMK LepDNA0000599” ( ZFMK).

Diagnosis. Length of forewing 19.5 mm in male. Externally A. geoffi sp. n. can be easily distinguished from all the members of the hyalina , the livida and the eronioides species-groups by the characters mentioned in the diagnosis above. From A. liuzihaoi sp. n. described below, it can be easily distinguished by the combination of the following characters: 1) Both wings narrower. 2) On hindwing the cilia are greyish from apex to cell Cu 2 and white from cell Cu 2 to the tornus, while in A. liuzihaoi sp. n. the cilia are white from apex to tornus. 2) The posterior tegumenal projection is slightly shorter. 3) The distal saccular process is significantly shorter and forms a triangular upturned process, while in A. liuzihaoi sp. n. the distal saccular process is elongated with the outer margin covered by spinules. 4) The phallus is somewhat shorter.

Distribution. Known from Linzhi City in southeastern Xizang, China, its type locality.

Etymology. The new species is dedicated to Mr. Geoff Martin (NHMUK, London) for his kind hosting during the first author’s visits to the museum. A noun in the genitive case.
