Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 3.34–3.68mm; female, 3.54–3.99mm. Width, male, 2.14–2.30mm; female, 2.14–2.47mm. Cuticle black. Pronotum with recurved scales arranged in two oblique clusters per side, each situated on low lateral tubercle, tubercles separated by impressed sulcus which is narrowed and extended ventrally down flanks to base of coxa. Elytra with slight swelling on base of interval 3, with vestiture of scattered recurved to suberect, simple scales. Femora all distally with distinct, deep, longitudinal striations. Geographical distribution. México (Tamaulipas).
Natural history. Collected from berlese extractions of cloud and oak forest leaf litter at elevations of 1000–1225m.
Derivation of specific name. Noun in apposition; named from the Latin stria and femur, in reference to the characteristic striations on the femora.
