Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 2.81–3.15mm; female, 2.81–4.27mm. Width, male, 1.74–1.85mm; female, 1.74–2.53mm. As for T. tzotzil but pronotum and elytra with scales more distinctly plumose apically and elytra strial regions lacking vestiture. Rostrum in male with scrobes broadly visible in dorsal view. Mesosternum with deep, transverse, pit-like, usually pilose impression. Aedeagus as in Fig. 182 View FIGURES 181–183 .
Geographical distribution. México (Oaxaca).
Natural history. Collected from berlese extraction of cloud forest leaf litter at elevations ranging from 1125–1600m, a single specimen also from stomach of Bufo valliceps Wiegmann at Choapan, Oaxaca (see Goldman 1951: 211).
Derivation of specific name. Named after Anne T. and Henry F. Howden of Ottawa, Canada.

Chorological relationships. Sympatric with T. humilis , T. desautelsi , T. terrestris , T. lutulenta , T. peckorum , T. romanoi , T. weiri and T. dansereaui .
