Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 2.86–3.29mm; female, 3.20–3.63mm. Width, male, 1.79–2.04mm; female, 1.96–21.3mm. As for T. backorum except pronotum with punctures smaller and shallower, scales not as dense, not distinctly plumose. Elytra with intervals with scales more arched, appressed to suberect; scales of strial regions very small and fine. Posterolateral area of elytra with series of 3–4 subcontiguous punctures. Geographical distribution. México (Chiapas).
Natural history. Collected from berlese extraction of wet valley-side montane forest leaf litter at 1650m.
Derivation of specific name. Through their support of the Nature Discovery Fund at the Canadian Museum of Nature, this species is named after Minor and Mollie Barringer of Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a gift from their many children and grandchildren.

Chorological relationships. Sympatric with T. cortesi , T. scopulus and T. evelynae .
