Remarks.—The largest of the Madagascar species of the genus, body length 19–22 mm, wingspan 61–66 mm ( Signoret 1860; specimens in hand). A primarily castaneous species sparingly marked with piceous with a contrasting greenish costal margin.
Distribution.—The species is known from Madagascar and Mauritius ( Metcalf 1963b; Sanborn 2013). Karsch (1890) and Jacobi (1917) reported the species from central Madagascar.
