Holotype: ♂ ( NZAC04142012 About NZAC , NZAC), Fiji, Viti Levu , Laucala Bay, at light in building, 13 October 1975, P. Mad- dison leg.

Paratypes: Fiji. Viti Levu , Tavua District, waterfall 0.5 km N of Waikubukubu, 170 m a.s.l.: 1 ♂, 28–30 July 1980, T. Donnelly leg. (P1: 83249, FSCA) ; Viti Levu , Nausori Rd, Manoch, hovering near the joinery shop: 1 ♂, 16 December 1979, K. Kumar leg. Etymology. The name refers to the type locality; by adding ‘ana’ it forms an adjective conforming in gender and ending to the generic name.
