Number of specimens recorded. 13.
Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: three northernmost provinces, and Beira Baixa.
Ecology. Recorded from three macrohabitat categories, in particular from agricultural land. About half of the Portuguese specimens were collected at an artificial pond in the outskirts of a town, with Typha sp. and other herbaceous plants on its banks. In northwestern Europe, the species seems to prefer open halophilous biotopes where it is found on both bare muddy soils and hard substrates ( Pollet 2000).
Rarity (%). 5.7 (fairly rare). Very rare (FL).
Activity period. April–June, August–September.
