Distribution: The species presents a broad geographic distribution in southwestern Atlantic, between 29º– 56°S, reported as Sertularella johnstoni ; Sertularella subdichotoma ; Sertularella johnstoni ( Oliveira et al. 2016 and references therein).
Remarks: Species were frequently found in all analyzed sites, usually conforming dense and mature clumps. Colonies were found attached on bryozoans, Chaetopterus antarcticus tubes, and the hydroids Halecium jaederholmi , Synthecium protectum and Hincksella stolonifera .
