Distribution: MPA Namuncurá II, Burdwood bank (409 m)

Remarks: colony digitate, with polyps disposed in conspicuous calyces and with well-developed anthocodial armature. Body wall sclerites similar to those of A. glaciophilum Ofwegen, Häussermann & Försterra, 2007 , although this species shows more irregular and spinous clubs and spindles. Some surfaces, inner spindles and torchs resemble those of A. sollasi described by Verseveldt & Ofwegen (1992), however this species presents spindles with more developed and conspicuous tubercles. SEM analyzes are still wanting to determine if Alcyonium sp. 1 may represent a new species.
