scientific name

Rubus
status

Section Idaeobatus Focke (1874: 147) .

Type:— Rubus idaeus Linnaeus (1753: 492) View in CoL

Flowers in compound inflorescence; petals small, usually shorter than sepals.

Note: —The claim of Reveal (2014) that the sectional name Idaeobatus would be illegitimate because of the earlier homotypic Rubus (sect.) Idaei Gray (1821: 587) is incorrect. The name by Gray (1821) is unranked and not a section.
