Basionym:— Rubus ser. Afroidaei Focke (1911: 171 , 172) in Bibliotheca Botanica 17, Heft 72 (2).

Type (designated here): — Rubus kingaensis Engler (1902: 313) View in CoL .

Calyx divided (almost) to base.

Note: —The series of African Rubus described by Focke (1911) cover a wide range of species, without a clear identity. It is better to use the rank of series for natural, well defined groups of species, and the wider groups as subsections. The presentation of infrageneric taxa in this paper results from this consideration.
