Remarks: Horstmann (1981b) reviewed the Palaearctic species of Eremotylus , transferring Meyers Ophion boguschi to Eremotylus based on the interpretation in Viktorov (1961). Viktorov (1961) divided E. bogushi into two species depending on their size and propodeal sculpture, the smaller Boethoneura boguschi (Meyer) and the larger Clistorapha ventosa Viktorov. Here , we follow the synonymy proposed by Horstmann, but the difference in size is also noted. Apart from the type of E. gracilis (Hedwig, 1961) , also recorded from Iran by Masnadi et al. (2010) based on a specimen collected in the Teheran Province. The species is distributed in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Recently also recorded from Europe ( Cyprus, OÖLM).
