“ Laomenes ceratophthalmus View in CoL ” species group
Species of this group are characterized by the presence of a long, straight, compressed rostrum with a dorsal carina distally bearing 0–4 teeth, and a straight or slightly concave toothless ventral carina. Eyestalk stout, about as long as wide, cornea subovate with blunt apical papilla. Epistomial horns robust, conical. Lower lacinia of maxillule flaring distally. Pereiopod I without tuft of simple setae at carpo-meral articulation. Carpus of pereiopod III without produced distodorsal margin; propodus without distoventral spines; dactylus robust, with long, slender, curved unguis; accessory tooth small, turned down. Distolateral margin of exopod of uropod with single mobile spine; fixed tooth absent.
Species included. L. ceratophthalmus ( Borradaile, 1915) , L. nudirostris ( Bruce, 1968) .
