Type locality. Africa, Southern Africa , South Africa. No type examined .

Material. Eastern Cape: Alstonfield, Bedford (S26.01819003, E32.89379102) 02.iii.17 coll P. Tshililo and P. Strauss— 20 adults ( SAMC) ; Northern Cape: Ezelfontein, Steynsburg (S25.7032, E30.9831) 06.iii.17 coll P. Tshililo and P. Strauss— 2 adults ( SAMC) ; Eastern Cape: Doornberg, Graaff Reinet (S24.4983, E31.8208) 18.iii.17 coll P. Tshililo and P. Strauss— 24 adults ( SAMC) .

Distribution. This species has only been recorded from South Africa and Basutoland ( Dirsh 1956b).
