Material examined. 1 spec, TAU P- 13063, Israel, off Haifa Bay, 1500 m, coll. Galil, 1 December, 1991. This is a depth record for this species.

Distribution. Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean and western Pacific; depth range 50–1440 m.
