New Caledonia: CONCALIS, CP 3029, 20°17.25’S 163°49.67’E, 625–900 m, 10 May 2008: 3 males (29.3 x 25.1 mm, 27.2 x 23.7 mm, 24.5 x 21.5 mm), 1 ovigerous female (38.3 x 34.9 mm), 1 female (30.0 x 27.1 mm) ( ZRC 2008.1002 ) . Vanuatu: Espiritu Santo I., SANTO 2006, Stn. AT 19, 15°33.9’S 167°00.5’E, 503–600 m, 21 September 2006: 1 ovigerous female (31.8 x 28.3 mm, photographed) ( MNHN-B31308 ) .— Stn. Remarks. Guinot & Richer de Forges (1995) commented on the great morphological diversity among specimens of P. boasi recorded from many parts of the tropical Indo-West Pacific. The specimens examined from the Solomon Islands and northern New Caledonia are within the range of this variability with regards to the white colour and the density of setae.
