Other: W. Kozhantshikov 1916: 206 (Andaman Islands); A. Schmidt 1922b (not mentioned); Blackwelder 1944 (not mentioned); Stebnicka 2002a: 771 (Peru - as Auperia amazonica ), 2009a: 29 (Peru, Andaman Islands - as Auperia andamanensis ), 2010: 162 (Peru, Andaman Islands - designation LECTOTYPE Odontolytes andamanensis ).

Note. According to Stebnicka (2009a: 29), the type specimens of Odontolytes andamanensis were either mislabeled or the species was “occasionally” [to be substituted with “accidentally”?] introduced to the Andaman Islands from South America.
