Diagnosis. Platelets in dorsal furrow very long; a pair of glandularia platelets lying in an indentation at anterior end of dorsal shield; vgl-4 lying on a separate platelet.

Description. Colour pale yellow. Dorsal furrow anteriorly with indentations embracing a pair of glandularia platelets lying in the dorsal furrow. Dorsal shield with three pairs of glandularia. Dorsal furrow with three pairs of long glandularia platelets, the middle platelet being the longest. Vgl-4 lying on a separate platelet. P5 slender.

Male: Idiosoma 480 (452) long and 332 (308) wide. Dorsal shield 474 (445) long and 293 (275) wide, eye pigment absent. Longest platelet in dorsal furrow 86 long; only two pairs of slit organs visible. Gonopore 50 long. Genital field with three pairs of triangular acetabula. Excretory pore lying on an indistinct platelet posterior of genital field. Length/height of P2-P5: 34/25, 24/22, 56/18, 28/8. Length of I-leg-4-6: 50, 58, 34. Length of IV-leg- 4-6: 60, 62, 44.

Female: Idiosoma 486 (474) long and 348 (335) wide. Dorsal shield 482 (470) long and 300 (284) wide. A pair of genital plates fused medially, each with three acetabula. Vgl-4 lying on a separate platelet. Length of P1-P5: 24/ 13, 38/26, 28/22, 60/18, 20/8. Length of I-leg-4-6: 50, 57, 36. Length of IV-leg-4-6: 58, 62, 46.

Etymology. Named for its occurrence in the mountains.

Remarks. The following species have similar long glandularia platelets in the dorsal furrow and three pairs of acetabula: J. elliptica K. Viets, 1935 , (Java), J. antama Cook, 1967 ( India) , J. punya Cook, 1967 ( India) and J. sunyi Wiles, 1991 (mainland Malaysia). Of these, the only with an indentation in the anterior part of the dorsal shield, J. sunyi , has only two elongated platelets in the dorsal furrow.

Distribution. Borneo.
