TYPE LOCALITY: "Ta-tsien-lou, province of Se-tchouen ( China Occidental) at an altitude of 2454 meters" [= Kangding, Sichuan Sheng, 30°07'N, 102°02'E) GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: S China in Sichuan and Yunnan, and adjacent parts of Burma and N Vietnam.

SYNONYMS: cuttingi,fulvescens.

COMMENTS: Two subspecies, fulvescens and cuttingi, have been described; see Corbet (1988:127).
