TYPE LOCALITY: "Habitat in Russiae aquosis."

DISTRIBUTION: Republics of the former USSR; Don, Volga, and S. Ural rivers and their tributaries; introduced into Tachan and Tartas rivers (Ob basin) and Dnepr River.

STATUS: IUCN - Vulnerable.
