Type Locality: India, Khasis

Distribution. Indian records: Khasi (Meghalaya) ( Hampson 1899a, 1903, Gupta 1994). Global records: unknown.

Remark: The description of Sylepta [sic] picalis Hampson, 1903b is identical with that of Sylepta [sic] picalis Hampson, 1899a . We therefore conclude both names are homonyms.
