Male. Head: face 1/2 as long as eye width, shiny yellow, sparsely white pollinose and pilose laterally; gena black; frontal triangle yellow, yellow pilose; vertical triangle narrow, elongate, black, bronze pollinose, black pilose; occiput black, pale yellowish bronze pollinose, with thick white pile on ventral 1/2, with yellow pile dorsally, with a short row of black pile superiorly; antenna yellow to brownish, black pilose, arista brown.

Thorax: postpronotum yellow; proepisternum black, dull pollinose, yellow pilose; supracoxal yellow macula absent; scutum black except broadly yellow laterally, bronze pollinose except for greyish pollinose medial vitta, yellow pilose; scutellum yellow, black pilose; anepisternum black except yellow posterior 1/2, yellow pilose; katepisternum black except dorsal 1/3 yellow, dull, yellow pilose; anepimeron yellow on anterior 1/2 or more, black posteriorly; plumula yellow; calypter yellow with yellow fringe except brown fringe on dorsal lobe; posterior mesothoracic pleuron (katepimeron, meron, katatergum, anatergum and postscutellum) black; methatoracic pleuron yellow; metasternum brown; halter yellow ( Fig. 10). Legs: pro- and mesolegs yellow except coxae black; yellow pilose except as follow, profemur black pilose on 1/3 dorsoapical, mesofemur black pilose; metacoxa yellow, yellow pilose; metafemur yellow, black pilose; metatibia yellow, yellow and black pilose, metatarsus brown, black pilose ( Fig. 21). Wing: hyaline, all microtrichose; alula narrow, as broad as cell BM basally, microtrichose ( Fig. 17).

Abdomen: 1 st tergum yellow except narrowly black apically, yellow pilose except narrowly black pilose on apicomedial margin; 2 nd tergum yellow except brownish black on 1/3, yellow pilose, except black pilose apically; 3 rd tergum yellow except brownish black apical 1/3, with small basomedial black punctum, black pilose; 4 th tergum yellow except brownish black apical 1/3, with small basomedial black punctum which is sometimes connected to apical dark area by dark submedial vitta, black pilose; 5 th tergum yellow except with large basomedial black elongate triangular macula on basal 1/3, black pilose; sterna yellow, yellow pilose ( Fig. 35). Male genitalia: surstylus rounded apicad; postanal process 1/3 as long as surstylus; aedeagus not so enlarged, proeminent dorsally with ventral projection; superior lobe somewhat trapezoid with short dorsal extension, forked distad, with scattered hairs, with small lobe dorsally with hairs. ( Figs. 65–67).

Female. Similar to male except for normal the frons black, bronze pollinose, black pilose; fronto-orbital plate black on 1/3 superior and yellow on 2/3 inferior, bronze pollinose, black pilose. Female genitalia: 9 th tergum with T-shape black macula medially; epiproct slender; cercus slender; hypoproct triangular; 9 th sternum broad, somewhat quadrangular; three spermatecae rounded, with the same size ( Figs. 125–127).

Length: body 7.0–7.5 mm. Wing 6.5–7.0 mm.

Discussion. T. paraduplicatus is similar to T. duplicatus differing mainly on the microtrichia pattern of wing and on genitalia morphology. In general T. paraduplicatus species are smaller than T. duplicatus .

Etymology: The name of this species, an adjective, is derived from duplicatus , because of the similarity between these species.
