Eupithecia uliata Staudinger, 1897 View in CoL , Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris (1896) 9 (2): 281. Lectotype ♀ (designated by Mironov et al., 2011; coll. O. Staudinger in MNHU, examined), [ Mongolia]: Uliassutai [= Uliastay or Javhlant].

Eupithecia recens Dietze, 1904 View in CoL , Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris [1903] 16 (2): 349, taf. 3, fig. 26. Syntype (s) 3 (coll. K. Dietze in MNHU, examined), Central Asia [ China]: Kuku-Noor (near lake); [ Russia]: Sidimi (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Eupithecia extrinseca Vojnits View in CoL & de Laever, 1978, Acta zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 24 (1–2): 247, fig. 24. Holotype ♀ (ZFMK, examined), [ China]: South Shensi, Tapaishan in Tsinling, 3000 m (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Misidentification: Eupithecia repentina: sensu Mironov, 1990 View in CoL (for Mongolia) (nec Vojnits & de Laever, 1978).

This species has long been known as E. recens Dietze. View in CoL The male and female genitalia of this species were described and illustrated by de Laever (1960) under this name. However a study by the authors of the worn type specimen of E. uliata View in CoL and its genitalia in the collection of MNHU, Berlin ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 19 ) reveals that it belongs to the same species. The name E. uliata View in CoL has precedence. Mongolia (aimags): Khuvsgul, Tuv.
