Length Male 6.90 mm; female unknown.

External morphology. Moderately long, slightly robust species. General color light brown with dark brown veins in forewings; crown light brown, eyes dark brown; pronotum dark brown with light brown bullae; forewings translucent with dark brown venation Plate 2F View PLATE 2 ); face light brown. Head narrower than pronotum; anterior margin broadly rounded; crown broad, about as wide as eyes, slightly produced distally, convergent basally, slightly elevated above level of eyes, lateral margins slightly carinate; pronotum short, about as long as median length of crown; surfaced bullated; mesonotum large about half as long as pronotum; forewings typical; clypeus long, broad, lateral margins convex; clypellus flat, base narrow as clypeus at juncture of clypeal suture, lateral margins parallel.

Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view with moderately long, broad caudoventral lobe ( Fig.101 View FIGURES 101–108 ), caudodorsal margin in dorsal view with 2 pairs of processes, dorsal pair very short, curved, ventral pair long, broad in basal 1/3, tapered curved in apical 1/3 ( Fig. 102 View FIGURES 101–108 ); aedeagus in dorsal and ventral views symmetrical, moderately long, reaching to about midlength of ventral paraphysis ( Fig. 103, 104 View FIGURES 101–108 ); ventral paraphysis in dorsal view symmetrical view broad basally, tapered to apex with paired basal processes ( Fig. 103 View FIGURES 101–108 ), in lateral view nearly narrow throughout, apex slightly bulbous ( Fig. 104 View FIGURES 101–108 ); style in dorsal view long, exceeding midlength of ventral paraphysis with 2 prominent processes, 1 subapical, 1 apical ( Fig. 105, 106 View FIGURES 101–108 ); connective typical; dorsal connective in dorsobasal view broadly U shape, rami attached distally to base of ventral process of segment X, stem short ( Fig.107 View FIGURES 101–108 ); subgenital plate with tuft of long microsetae apically ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 101–108 ).

Material examined. Holotype male; Papua New Guinea, Morobe province, Buso, 80 km. S. E. of Lae , 7°

25’ S. – 147°15’E, swept forest floor, 14.xi.1979, J. H. Martin, coll. ( BRNO)

Etymology. The name of this species indicates close relationship to unca in male genitalia features.

Remarks. This species is near to unca Nielson in male genitalia characters and can be separated by the distinctive apicolateral process on the style which is lacking in unca . The crown is wider in this species and not nearly as convergent basally.
