Naia multifasciata Werner, 1902: 347 . Type locality: “der oberen Maringa.”; upper Moringa or Tshuapa River, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Naja anomala Sternfeld, 1917: 482 . Type locality: “Assobam-Urwald” southern Cameroon.
Elapechis duttoni Boulenger, 1904: 15 . Type locality: “near Leopoldville”, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Distribution. This species ranges from Cameroon to western Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Equatorial Guinea it had never been recorded ( Map 30A View MAPS 30 ).
Comments. We provide the first record of N. multifasciata for Equatorial Guinea.
Specimens examined. One specimen. Río Muni: Nvom (road from Aconibe to Asoc), 08 May 1987 ( EBD 25064) .
