1. Colobaea Zetterstedt, 1837 (New record)

( Figs. 2, 3 View FIGURES 1–8 , 33 View FIGURES 33–40 , 65 View FIGURE 65 )

Colobaea Zetterstedt, 1837: 53 . Type species: Opomyza bifasciata Fallén, 1820 (monotypy) [= Opomyza bifasciella Fallén, 1820 ].

Ctenulus Rondani, 1856: 107 . Type species: Opomyza pectoralis Zetterstedt, 1847 (original designation).

Melanochira Schiner, 1864: 283 . Type species: Opomyza distincta Meigen, 1830 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Small species, no larger than 5 mm. Frons matt, mostly velvet black. Frons with 2 orbital setae. Propleural seta present but short or indistinct. Wing hyaline without spots or reticulated pattern. Vein CuA 2 +A 1 not reaching posterior margin of wing.

Remarks. Of the 13 described species, 10 are Palearctic (9 species restricted to the Palearctic Region with 1 of them extended into the Oriental Region) and 3 of them are Nearctic.

Before our study, Colobaea had never been recorded from China. Two species (4 males from Inner Mongolia and 1 female from Xinjiang) are reported here for the first time from China. All specimens were collected from the Palearctic Region of China; all other species of Colobaea found during our study are also found in the Palearctic Region.

Specimens examined. Colobaea eos Rozkošný & Elberg, 1991: 2 ♂, CHINA, Inner Mongolia, Genhe, 835 m, 2016. VII. 30, Li Shi ( IMAU); 2♂, CHINA, Inner Mongolia, Genhe, 870 m, 2016. IX. 27, Li Shi ( IMAU) . Colobaea sp.: 1♀, CHINA, Xinjiang, Tacheng, 1955. VII. 24, Shijun Ma ( IZCAS) .
