Dorsal shield bearing 30–31 pairs of long and smooth setae (often whip-like). Pre-sternal area with three pairs of elongated pre-sternal platelets (one pair in L. capizzii ). Sternal shield with three pairs of setae, sometimes whiplike. Metasternal shields fused to endopodal shields and bearing smooth setae st4. Genital shield free, usually wider than long, and bearing one pair of setae st5. Peritrematal shield fused to sternal shield and podal shields. Ventrianal shield subtriangular, with three pairs of smooth pre-anal setae. Epistome with a medially acuminate projection and without elongate lateral projections, lateral margins serrated or smooth. Chelicera chelate-dentate, usually with four teeth on fixed digit and two on movable digit. Cheliceral seta smooth. Tarsus II with two robust apical spines. Male similar to female, but with a holoventral shield bearing five sternal setae st1–5 and 3–7 pairs of pre-anal setae.
