Dorsal shield bearing 26–31 pairs of moderately long and smooth setae. Pre-sternal area with 14 elongated pre-sternal platelets. Sternal shield fused to endopodal, exopodal and peritrematal shields, bearing three pairs of smooth setae st1–3. Metasternal shields free and bearing st4. Genital shield and ventrianal shield fused to form a genitiventrianal shield, usually with a nearly transverse suture between them, with st5 and three pairs of smooth preanal setae. Palp tarsal claw three-tined and spatulate distally. Epistome trifurcate, with a median projection and one pair of lateral extensions. Chelicera chelate-dentate or chelate-serrate, fixed digit with several teeth of variable sizes, movable digit with two large teeth and sometimes with several small teeth between them. Cheliceral seta smooth.
